Rubis Elegance tweezers

Rubis Nail Clipper 
The best time for nail care is after showering or bathing, as your nails are then softer and easier to cut. Always position the clippers to leave a 1 mm wide margin of white nail. The combination of the handle’s lever action and the very sharp blades ensures a clean cut. The ergonomically shaped handle grip offers supreme comfort. Smooth over the edges of your nails with the extremely gentle glass nail file from the set after trimming. Rubis nail clippers can be disinfected and sterilized without a problem. You will be able to rely on these clippers for many years thanks to their high-quality materials, workmanship and design.

Rubis Classic scissors
The hand-sharpened, slightly curved blades crafted out of specially hardened steel trim your nails neatly and smoothly without any sign of breaking, splitting or squeezing. The ergonomically shaped handle grips offer supreme comfort. Even after many years, our scissors lose none of their original functionality thanks to their high-quality materials, design and workmanship. You should also always devote a little time to your cuticles. The process of cuticle management needs to be as protective as it is precise. Before treatment, moisten the skin with a specialized cuticle product or soften the area around the nail by dipping the fingertips in a lukewarm mixture of water and oil or submerging them in warm, soapy water. Carefully push back the loose cuticle before removing it from around the nail bed with our cuticle scissors. You will then have a beautiful half-moon curve on each nail once again. Finish by applying a nourishing nail cream. To avoid damaging the delicate cuticle, you should only ever cut – never pull – the loose cuticle or unwanted skin.

Rubis Glass Twist nail file
Using glass nail files helps you keep your nails healthy. Rubis glass nail files have a microfine, almost satiny filing surface that is very gentle on your nails. Nails are protected as they are filed, leaving not a trace of a split at the nail edge. Filing your nails with a Rubis glass nail file provides a smoother finish than conventional emery boards or metal nail files. Glass nail files are extremely low maintenance: simply rinse under running water after use. Nail varnish residue is easy to remove with a fine brush and mild detergent. The files can also be disinfected and sterilized without a problem. Their high quality means that they lose none of their original functionality. They will last a lifetime if used carefully. Please remember that these files are made of glass: they may break if dropped. Damaged nail files should not be used.

Material
We always strive to find the best possible solution. That is why we manufacture each implement out of the material that is best suited to its particular function. This is the only way to achieve top-class quality and premium functionality. For our tweezers we use rustproof and acid-proof surgical steel, while our scissors and nail clippers are made of martensitic steel, which enables the blades to be hardened to a high degree. Martensitic steel is also acid-proof and rust-resistant. By glass blasting the surface and elaborately grinding the cutting blades we successfully close the steel’s pores as far as technically possible and reduce corrosion susceptibility to a minimum. We deliberately avoid nickel or chrome plating our implements to rule out any risk of allergic reactions. For our nail files we use strong, hardened glass because it facilitates a uniquely gentle and effective approach to nail care. All products can be disinfected and sterilized.

Manufacture
Values are important to us. In our products and in the methods we use to produce them. We have been manufacturing in Switzerland for over 60 years. With experienced and skilled employees, many of whom have remained true to our company for years. Very much in the tradition of Swiss precision mechanics, we manufacture precise and elegant products, every detail of which is made to last. All of our manicure implements are made by hand - and, in a final step, tested individually under a magnifying glass. Only products that pass this test receive the “Rubis. Made in Switzerland” seal of quality.

For us, design isn’t just a matter of form. It is our promise that we do everything possible so that our products retain their convincing shape and perfect function for many years to come.
