Use

The ergonomically formed shaft provides top comfort. Even after many years of use, it forfeits none of its functionality thanks to the high quality of its material, design and workmanship.

Material
The Rubis Cut 2 is fashioned from martensitic steel. This high-quality material, whose name comes from the German metallurgist Adolf Martens (1850-1914), has two special characteristics that are indispensable for the production of a really good pair of scissors: firstly, it can be hardened at a very high temperature, which is decisive for the quality and for a long service life; secondly, it can be easily formed, which is important for the perfect functionality and design of the scissors. Martensitic steel is acid-proof and rust-resistant. We have intentionally refrained from nickel plating and chromium plating to avoid any possible allergic reactions.

Manufacture
Values are important to us: In our products and in the methods we use to produce them. We have been manufacturing tweezers for over 60 years in Switzerland. With experienced and skilled employees, many of whom have remained true to our company for many years. Such precise and beautifully designed scissors whose every detail has been created to last a long time, are very much in the tradition of Swiss precision mechanics. All scissors are made by hand - and, in a final step, tested individually under a magnifying glass. Only tweezers that pass this test receive the seal of quality “Rubis. Made in Switzerland.”

Design
The clear, unpretentious form is the aesthetic attribute of all Rubis scissors - the embodiment of the concept "less is more". Under the name Rubis Twist® we have registered its unmistakable design as a trademark: The organic movement of the steel generates its typical, elegant form. Rubis scissors have been honoured with numerous international design awards.
