“When we introduced our first cosmetic tweezers onto the market in the 1980s, it was somewhat of a sensation. It was as though someone was finally taking the small, everyday needs of women seriously. Back then, tweezing with imprecise tweezers was often torturous. Up to that point, Rubis had made a name for itself above all with their top-notch watchmaker tweezers. They were used by renowned Swiss watch manufacturers Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe and Cartier to insert the rubies a job that required the utmost precision. It was this high standard of quality which we brought to the area of cosmetics. We already knew from experience what it takes to make a truly good pair of tweezers. And I knew what women expect from a fine cosmetic tweezers. We sought to combine these two aspects in a new form that was perfectly tailored to meet these demands. Today, Rubis products are recognized as icons in tweezers design. You will therefore not only discover your tweezers at your beauty expert’s, but also at completely unexpected places like, for instance, a design museum. However, I consider the most important place to be another one altogether: in your everyday life. Because this is exactly why we have made our tweezers as attractive and practical as they are.”

Use
The Rubis Titan is a very fine cosmetic tweezers that facilitates comfortable and precise use: Thanks to its superfine material, the tweezers is lighter than the other steel tweezers. Its slanted tip is ideal for plucking eyebrows, for the removal of facial hairs and for epilating unwanted hairs in other body zones. They can be disinfected and sterilized without a problem. Titanium causes no immunological reactions and is therefore especially suitable for allergy sufferers. Thanks to its perfect ease of handling, make-up artists like Bobbi Brown and Soul Lee prefer to work with Rubis cosmetic tweezers.
Material
It is only found in small quantities in the earth, and requires a very complicated process for its production. Its name comes from the race of powerful Greek deities, the Titans. Owing to its “divine” characteristics, it finds use in very demanding applications. In aeronautics, aircraft construction and in the medical world as a biomaterial for implants: titanium is particularly light and corrosion- and temperature-resistant. Titanium is not known to cause any immunological reactions in the human body. And from this fine material we have produced an exceptional tweezers making use of the highest standards of fine craftsmanship.
Manufacture
Values are important to us. In our products and in the methods we use to produce them. We have been manufacturing tweezers for over 60 years in Switzerland. With experienced and skilled employees, many of whom have remained true to our company for many years. Exceptionally reliable and precise cosmetic tweezers are the result of a 45-step process that is very much in the tradition of Swiss precision mechanics. Made completely by hand - and, in a final step, again tested individually under a magnifying glass. Only tweezers that pass this test receive the seal of quality “Rubis. Made in Switzerland.“
Design
For us, design isn’t just a matter of form. It is our promise that we do everything possible so that our products retain their convincing form and perfect function over many years. And since people recognize that we take this promise seriously, our tweezers and scissors have been honored internationally with numerous renowned prizes for their outstanding design.

Rubis. We believe in the small difference.

We want the small things that accompany you daily to also be pleasurable, because they are attractive and practical, perfectly fulfill their function, are durable and lose nothing of their fine quality, even after many years.

They are neglected far too often - however, well-shaped and groomed eyebrows can have the same effect as a little facelift. They simply make you look better. And they do it naturally. Like a beautiful frame around a well-painted picture, well-defined eyebrows emphasize your good features. They make small eyes look larger and bring out deep-set eyes.
Plucking tips
Don’t rush, take everything one step at a time – you don’t need to do it all at once. The best time to pluck your eyebrows is right after showering. This is when your pores are at their widest and the hairs are easiest to remove. Make sure you have plenty of light and a comfortable work space in front of you where you can sit at ease and rest your elbows on the surface. And you’ll need a mirror. Make the most of this time for yourself, and enjoy doing something for your own well-being.
The right shape
What is the ideal distance between the eyebrows?
A maximum of 1.5 cm is enough. Do not leave too big a gap between the brows – that overemphasizes your nose.
Where should the eyebrow begin?
Ideally, the brow should begin exactly above the inside corner of your eye. You can place a makeup brush or pencil against the side of your nose and up to your eye to provide a reference line. This is where your brow should begin. Use your Rubis tweezers to pluck any hairs on the other side of the line.
How long should the brow be?
Neither too long, nor too short. Again, you can use a makeup brush or pencil to help you determine the perfect length. Make a line between your nostril and the outer corner of your eye with the brush or pencil. Where the line crosses your eyebrow, that’s where the brow should end.
Where should the highest point be?
The brow line should form an arch that rises 3/4 of its length and falls 1/4. If you’re sitting in front of a mirror and want to see where the curve of the brow should reach its highest point above the eye, the best thing to do is draw another reference line (with a brush or pencil), this time starting at the nostril and crossing the middle of the pupil. The highest point is where the line and the brow intersect. Pluck any hairs above that level.
How thick should the eyebrows be?
Your brows should suit your body type. Fine-boned people should opt for a thinner line. If you’re more of an athletic type, your brows can easily be a bit thicker.
